I’m always looking for the best cup of coffee in Dubai, and you know how much I love a beautifully set-up coffee shot. We all have our favorite places to eat or meet up with friends, but I’ve been making it a point to visit some place new any chance I get. I think the atmosphere of a restaurant or cafe can really put you in a good mood and brighten up your day.
If you’re living in Dubai or just here for a visit Fortnum & Mason Dubai is a must try. Whether you’re planning an afternoon with your girlfriends or want to take your little ones out for a treat, you can choose between the elegant Tea Salon and the playful Ice Cream Parlour.
The Parlour is a beautifully decorated candy land with the feel of a 1950’s diner. They have a variety of ice cream flavors with an assortment of all your dream toppings. You can also just enjoy a rich cappuccino that is the right balance of creamy milk and nutty coffee. It’s a very family-friendly spot, and although perfect for that insatiable sweet tooth they also serve a scrumptious savory breakfast.
I wanted my outfit to match the ambience at The Parlour, and so I thought some pink and red color-blocking would express that cute retro vibe I feel when I’m there. I hope you enjoyed this feature and are planning on checking out Fortnum & Mason for yourself.

*Special thanks to Fortnum & Mason Dubai for letting us shoot at The Parlour.
I’m very excited to announce my feature on the recently launched 707AVE. From fashion to lifestyle 707AVE will quickly become your online go-to publication for inspiration. Check out my interview where I discuss my beauty routine, blogging and my vision for the future of The Blush Diaries. Here’s a little snippet for you:
What inspired you to start blogging?
I always wanted a career that involved high levels of creativity and a lot of energy. I didn’t really feel fulfilled in my corporate job and decided to switch over to something that excites me: fashion. While searching for a job in the fashion industry, I started blogging and loved it. In March 2014, I finally decided to forge my own path and turn The Blush Diaries into a business.
Head over to 707AVE to read the full interview. Thank you for your continuous love, encouragement and support. It’s been a hell of a ride so far and I couldn’t have done it without you all!
I just started taking a beginner ballet for adults class at the James & Alex studio in Dubai and it’s the first form of exercise I never want to stop doing. Continue reading Instagram Lately
There’s something that’s been gnawing at me lately and I felt the need to get it out and share it with you all. I hope this doesn’t sound presumptuous, but I think we’ve all faced some kind of bullying or negative treatment whether in childhood, at work or even from our own friends. I’ve personally experienced it throughout my life. Continue reading Kindness
The founder of De La Mer Spa Dubai, Sara Pirzad, got in touch with me about trying a couple of treatments and sharing my experience. Since I just started the My Dubai series on my blog, this was the perfect timing for this post. De La Mer Spa Dubai is a family owned business and the spa treatments are primarily all-natural based, and by that I mean ingredients from your kitchen which is a major plus for my sensitive skin.
The Spa itself is beautiful on the inside and smells like fresh lemongrass in every room. There’s a relaxation room with a lounge, jacuzzi, sauna and lockers for your convenience. I wanted some gentle exfoliation so they recommended the Coconut Glow Scrub for my body and the Rose Petal Facial for my acne-prone skin. Sanny was my therapist and she was great, and even answered my endless questions for this article. They have numerous options for body scrubs and each batch is made for a one-time use for each client. The Coconut Scrub smelled so sweet and was followed with the Elemis Strawberry Lotion, both of which left my skin smooth and supple for the rest of the week. The Rose Petal facial was extremely gentle but actually cleaned out my pores. My face was glowing afterwards and my pores were no where to be seen.
Alongside their spa treatments, De La Mer Spa Dubai also offers hair and nail services. It’s a great one-stop-shop especially for brides and any lady looking to get pampered before an event. There are so many spas in Dubai but for girls like me with exceptionally sensitive skin, you can completely trust them to take good care of you here.

I don’t love the end of anything, especially summer. Luckily for me summer is the predominant season in Dubai, so the warmth isn’t ending anytime soon. My wings are still ready for takeoff and I’m hoping I’ll get to go on a little trip sometime soon, so I’m sharing my end of summer wishlist and necessities for exploring a new city. What are your end of summer plans my loves, I’d love to know!
I caught the travel bug a few years back and I haven’t been able to shake it, nor do I want to. Because of busy schedules and other priorities we’ve been putting off travel plans lately, so we thought a staycation every once in a while is a good alternative for the mean time. I finally took my Donut Float out for a spin, and now I have my eye on a few other cute pool accessories.
Adriana, the founder of Little Words Project reached out to me about her lovely business and their positive message. I chose Transcend as my word of the moment because it encompasses many things. I hope that it will be a daily reminder to be fearless and overcome all challenges and obstacles. I would also like to surpass my own expectations of myself, and let love and kindness be my guiding lights. Once I’ve taken all the strength I need from this bracelet, I would pass it on to someone who needs it more. These ‘sisterhood’ bracelets come with a numbered tag so you would be able to track their journey after you’ve given it to someone else!
Anyone interested in starting a book club with me? I always start a book and don’t end up finishing it. Ocassionally I’ll start a book that I get super obsessed with and can’t put down. How To Be Parisian has been cute so far, hopefully I’ll get through it all.
I found these beautiful peonies while grocery shopping today and couldn’t believe they’re available in Dubai during the summer! I love keeping flowers around the house and can totally guarantee you’ll be in a better mood if you do the same.
There’s no end to my love of pink and a cute hat, and so many of you loved this outfit I thought I’d link for you the items that are still available or similar options. Xo
