DIY: Maple Syrup Lip Scrub

Maple Syrup

If you’re anything like me, there is an array of lip balms scattered between purses, makeup bags and different drawers in your house. I’ve tried many brands and although I found a few favorites that really help reduce dryness, the flakiness doesn’t go away easily. Well after reading about this recipe, I became hooked on lip scrubs. I’ve experimented with a few variations of ingredients, and I thought I’d share my favorite one with you.

You will need:

  • 2 Teaspoons Brown sugar
  • A few drops Rose water
  • 1 Teaspoon Maple syrup

Mix the sugar with the rose water until they look crumbled. Add the maple syrup and mix them all together. Leave it in the fridge for 15 minutes. Scrub your lips in a gentle circular motion for a few minutes. Follow with your favorite lip balm.

I hope you love it!

  1. Does this lip scrub with maple syrup need to be stored in the refrigerator or can it be stored at room temperature?
    Thanks!
