I remember the first time I ever saw a shirt dress, I was 13 years old and still figuring out my own style. My cousin always had incredible taste in fashion and I always learned from her. The dress she wore was fitted and stylish, but still casual enough to look good with flats and I l-o-v-e-d it. I’ve worn a few shirt dresses myself since then, but since they go in and out of style often and the fits and silhouettes are constantly evolving I always keep my eyes peeled for new ways to style them.
I don’t always go for these loose fitting dresses but I fell in love with the print on this one and found it to be the perfect breezy dress for a sunny summer day. This dress runs pretty big (I’m wearing a small and had to get it taken in) so I recommend sizing down. Since I’ve been waiting to wear my new favorite floppy hat, I thought it would add a nice boho touch to this look. I also think this shirt dress would look good with a belt and gladiator sandals for a more everyday casual look. I hope you liked this outfit, let me know what you think in the comment section below!
