I remember the first time I ever saw a shirt dress, I was 13 years old and still figuring out my own style. My cousin always had incredible taste in fashion and I always learned from her. The dress she wore was fitted and stylish, but still casual enough to look good with flats and I l-o-v-e-d it. I’ve worn a few shirt dresses myself since then, but since they go in and out of style often and the fits and silhouettes are constantly evolving I always keep my eyes peeled for new ways to style them.
I don’t always go for these loose fitting dresses but I fell in love with the print on this one and found it to be the perfect breezy dress for a sunny summer day. This dress runs pretty big (I’m wearing a small and had to get it taken in) so I recommend sizing down. Since I’ve been waiting to wear my new favorite floppy hat, I thought it would add a nice boho touch to this look. I also think this shirt dress would look good with a belt and gladiator sandals for a more everyday casual look. I hope you liked this outfit, let me know what you think in the comment section below!
I’ve noticed lately how often I reach for white and black pieces to pair with other colors because I find they really provide me with a clean palette for any type of look. So I’ve challenged myself to actively start adding more color to my wardrobe, especially with summer right around the corner. With that said, there isn’t anything quite as beautiful (and practical) as a white skirt, especially if it comes in a floral lace design. What colors or styles do you have a weak spot for?
How many pretty dresses are really enough? I’ve learned that you can never have too many. I’m always in search of a feminine fitting dress in a new color I don’t already have (or one I have too much of) as well as dresses for different occasions. This off-shoulder Bardot dress from Asos is perfect for spring/summer showers, weddings or day-time events. What’s the one piece of clothing you always love to wear?
We can get a little absorbed by our daily routines and responsibilities that we don’t take the time to make any special plans outside our usual outings. My birthday last month was the perfect excuse for a short getaway with my hubby, and The Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah turned out to be spellbinding. The weather in RAK is cooler and the air is cleaner, and the resort itself was picturesque. The Waldorf Astoria is a worldwide chain, with signature design elements found in all their branches. You’ll notice unique differences that reflect the culture and character of each location. This particular resort has a peacock theme, as well as coral and sand undertones which mirror the most beautiful aspect of the UAE: it’s beaches.
The rooms are bright, airy and incredibly spacious with a walk-in-closet (yes, seriously.) and an incredible view. We had a lovely in-room treatment called the Bath Master Experience which was a relaxing bubble bath accompanied by chocolates and pretty rose petals.
To sum it all up: we enjoyed delicious food, topnotch customer service and an unforgettable escape from the city. Browse the gallery below for more photos.
What I wore: Hat: Top: Pull & Bear / Shorts: Pull & Bear, similar here / Sandals: Mango / Hat: H&M, love this one too.
Although I don’t think one day a year is enough to celebrate the most important woman in my life, it’s a good opportunity to do something extra special for her. I love a traditional gift like a bouquet of roses and a heartfelt card, but I’m also the only girl in my family and enjoy picking out girly things for my mama. Whether you do it on mother’s day or any other day, I say choose a day especially for her, take her out to lunch and surprise her with a thoughtful gift you chose especially for her. I’ve linked some amazing items for you below! Xo
Well folks, it’s officially summer in May. I realize that I mention the weather all the time, but it definitely impacts my style and what I can or can’t wear. I don’t know about you but I’m ready for cute shorts, bright-colored bikinis and lots of boho accessories.
I’ve loved the gladiator sandals ever since I laid eyes on Kourtney Kardashian wearing them years ago. There are so many different styles out there, and whether you like them strappy or chunky, in gold or in black they are an easy way to dress up a summer outfit. I found a gorgeous variety of options, check them out below!
